Converge
UX/UI
This app is a personal project I conceptualized and developed.

During a meeting with one of my mentors, Jacquie, we discussed the prominence of social media and how ample online contact can sometimes become an excuse not to connect with friends and family in person.
Based on this conversation, I began thinking of ways mobile platforms could incentivize people to spend more time together face to face.
My idea was to create an app, Converge, that rewards users points based on the number of local events attended.

When organizing parties, dinners, and celebrations, it is often stressful for the planner to keep attendees on the same page. Converge allows users to coordinate private events collaboratively.
Additionally, when people move to new cities, it can be overwhelming or scary to find events where they can meet new people and build community.
Converge is meant to bring people together at both public events and private gatherings. Points earned from attending events can then be used to take advantage of special offers at local businesses. Win, win.

Once I defined the functionality of the app and its target demographics, I began to sketch low fidelity wireframes.

After playing with the visual feel of the application, I began to build an initial prototype in Sketch and Invision.

This prototype is a medium fidelity representation of the how the app will function.
The final brand identity is not yet complete.
